Brady Took These Pictures!!!!
Nothing much is up
Like it says, nothing much is up. I'm subbing at Forks River School today as the P.E. teacher. This is her planning period, and as a sub I have nothing to plan for so I'm in the computer lab. I kinda like working for the P.E teacher because I can wear sweat pants and a t-shirt and play dodge ball all day. Dodge ball has changed a lot since I was a kid. The balls are a little smaller and MUCH softer, so it doesn't hurt when some mean boy hits you as hard as he can in the face.( Are you reading this Carter Hall and Joey Simmons???!!!) I actually enjoy it and play it often with the older kids. They even let me play! Brady is much better today, but his reading teacher tells me he seems to be very tired. He told her he was exhausted. Well, that's about it. I'll put some kind of picture on here when I get home.

Sick Kid
Well, I thought I was gonna get some much needed work done around this house today. That is, until the phone rang at 8:25 am. Brady was sick, puked in class, yuck! So I went to get him and have been hanging out with him all day. He's been a little better, has been sleeping alot. I think he's also enjoying the extra TV time! Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow. Well, that's about it for today. I guess I should look through my pictures and see if I have anything visually interesting for you....... Ok, here's a pic of the Bellsouth building in Nashville. It's also called the Batman Building. I think it's pretty cool. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day so it's not the best pic in the world.

Some Pictures

Here are some pictures I got from my cell phone. The first one is Brady and our cat Punky, the next one is our little kitty Cookie, and the last one is the snowman that Brady built last week with the neighbor kids. We have no snow right now, it's about 55 degrees right now. Major improvement over what we experienced in Indiana last weekend! Not much exciting going on today. I did nothing all day. Too damn tired! Well, I guess I did go pay the phone bill, and went to Subway to get supper. See, I'm too lazy to cook today. Boring day.

We Saw the BABY!!!

We just got back from a VERY quick trip to Indiana. We got to my grandma's about 1 a.m. Saturday and left at 8:30 a.m on Sunday. However, we did get to spend all day Sat. with the baby, Kaden Harris Bennett. He is so cute, and so tiny. I just love him!!!! The picture here is one I took with my phone, so it's not the best quality. I finally figured out how to upload pics from the phone, and how to email them, and send them in text mssgs, so prepare to start receiving weird pictures from me. You know how I get. We also stopped by Jeff's friend Pat's house and saw his new place as well as his new family. His wife is very nice, BIG improvement over the previous one!!!! She has a boy that is one year older than Brady and they seemed to get along well. We were only able to stay about an hour as we had to get back to grandma's and get to sleep for the drive home the next day, but it was nice to see some old and new friends. I wish we had had time to see everyone, but that never happens. We did get to see a sweet baby though, and I fell in love with him!!! Isn't he a cutie? Look at him!!! How could you not love such a sweet little thing?

Puddin Pie 4-21-2006 to 2-23-2007

Our cat Puddin' was killed today. He sneaked out of the house when Jeff was going to work early this morning, and got in the road. He was run over by a car. Brady doesn't know yet, but he's going to be very upset as that was his favorite kitty.
I'm teaching 6th grade today at New Middleton and it's a little hard to keep my mind on things because I'm upset.

My great nephew was just born this afternoon!! His name is kaden Harris Bennett. Mom and Dad are Renee Chaney (Jeff's neice) and Will Bennett. Kaden was born at Terre Haute Regional Hospital and weighed 7 lbs 4oz. This is a pic of him in utero. Will get real live pics this weekend!! Congrats to Renee and Will!! We love you!
Blah Blah Blah

Ok, so I've been sick since early Tuesday morning. (sick in the head since early childhood) I got up to go "potty" and passed out 3 times on the way there. I now have a bruises on my temple, my forehead, back, hip and my left hand. No, Jeff did not beat me up, I think we all know I could take him! :) Jeff wanted to take me to the hospital but I wouldn't go, because I'm stubborn, but my neighbor did get me to go to the Dr. who immediately told me I had to quit taking Trimspa. She even called me Anna Nicole. She ran tests and stuff, and I'm ok, my blood pressure was a little low. But I still don't feel well. All I want to do is sleep and I feel a little dizzy and fuzzy still. I guess I'm gonna have to actually get off my ass to lose weight. I want a magic pill to take all the fat away. It's not fair!
we've had a new addition to our menagerie. A cat which Brady has named Kitters. He's really cute, but not "fixed" so I guess if he sticks around that's just one more expense. Brady says he belonged to the man who lived across the street, Mr. Wyatt, who passed away recently. Kitters is really cute and sweet, but I think he's already impregnated our little cat cookie who we hadn't gotten around to "fixing" yet. Yeaaa, kittens!
We love our pets here in the rose home. They are a part of our family. Above is a picture of our girl Biscuit. She is the best dog! Anyone who's ever met her agrees. My grandma Foster even allows her in the house! That's where she is in this picture, Christmas 2005. We also have 3 (now 4) cute kitties! We have Pumpkin Pie (called punky, shmunkey & shmunkers), Puddin (called Pud & Osama Bin Cattin because he terrorizes our house) and Cookie. Pud & Punk are the sons of our cat Gravy who has been missing since Thanksgiving. Cookie was dumped here. Gravy was dumped at our previous house, and Biscuits mama was dumped too. We believe there is a sign above any house we live in that is only visible to irresponsible pet owners. It says "Dump your unwanted pets here, they will be loved and taken care of!"

In Memory of Grandma

This post is in memory of my dear grandma, Lenora Margaret Cowger Larimer Nens who left us 2 years ago today. She was born May 25, 1919 in Rosedale, IN to Rolla Elbert Cowger & Ella Ivy Harvey Cowger. She was married 1st to John Franklin Larimer who passed away July 9, 1960. She later married Jules Nens who passed away Jan. 26, 1982. She had 4 children, Lawrence Milton Larimer, John Michael Larimer, Norena Sue Larimer and Jayne Ella Larimer. I miss her so much. Love ya' Grandma!
My best Girl Friends
Here are pictures of 2 of my best friends. The one on the left is Christy (Tucker) Scott. She is standing next to Elvis Presley's "solid gold cadillac". This picture was taken July 4, '06 at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, TN. The pic is kinda blurry because the battery was about dead on my camera and the flash wouldn't work. I've known Christy since I was about 9 years old. We have decided that we're part of a Stephen King novel. She was a few grades ahead of me in school (Hymera Elementary in beautiful downtown Hymera, Indiana) so we didn't hang out much there, but we went to the same church camp (the Baptist Youth Camp at Shakamak Park, Jasonville, IN) where we were kinda friends. At school, she was a cheerleader and I was a geek. While we were in high school, she went to North Central in Farmersburg, IN while I went to Shakamak in Jasonville. We hung out with the same groups of people but never actually met up with each other. After high school, her mom dated my dad. Weird, what if we'd ended up being step-sisters? I used to bank at the same bank where she worked. Sometimes I would see her in the drive-thru and think "that looks like Christy Tucker...". Eventually, I got a job at Columbia House (Hell). I went in for my first day of orientation. There were several empty seats, but I felt the need to sit next to the girl with the crazy long hair, leather biker jacket and dark sunglasses. Guess who? Christy Tucker. We've been "bff" ever since.
The picture to the right is my friend Shannon Lowe. This pic was taken on her birthday, Dec. 27, 2006. I should probably add that it was taken with the camera that her boyfriend Neil got her for Christmas! We were at the Castle in Clinton, IN. (yummy, yummy Italian food!!) Guess where I met her? Columbia Hell! (aka Columbia House music and video club, now known as BMG music) She was in the same training class as Christy & I. The 3 of us became fast friends, and fellow barhoppers and boychasers. Of course that was all 14 years ago. We are all very respectful ladies now. We are contributing members of society and all that boring stuff. Shannon and Christy have always been there for me through everything. If you want to find out all my secrets they are the ones you need to torture. I still don't think they'd tell you! Shannon also has a blog, www.meandmililu2.blogspot.com. It shows pics of her and her sweet little dog Milli, and the beautiful cakes she makes and decorates. If you are in the Terre Haute, IN area and want a cake, call her! Oh, yeah there are pics of Neil too.
I have a good friend here in Tennessee as well, her name is Jenny Ford. However I don't have any pics of her on my computer. I have one on my cell phone but that's not doing much good right now. When I get some more pics developed I'll put one of her on here. Whether she likes it or not!!!!

Here's a picture of me doing one of my favorite things, cemetery hunting. My friends John and Retta Waggoner of Carthage are the unofficially official cemetery documenters of Smith County. You can check out their website at www.thegravewalkers.com. There are a ton of very old graves out behind someones house, or barn, or in the middle of a cow pasture. This one in particular was at the top of a very big hill near the Smith/Putnam County line here in TN. To get up there, we had to knock on the door of the nearest house and ask the guy that lived there if he knew for sure where it was located. You definetely could not see this one from the road! He was a nice guy so he offered to drive us up there. Thank God for that. We all climbed in the back of his pickup and drove up a very steep, very rocky lane. A little scary! When we got to the end of the lane we had to get out, climb a fence and walk the rest of the way up. I thought I'd die! When we finally got there, there were about 40 or so marked graves and probably as many unmarked. They were in pretty good shape, and I'm willing to bet no one had been up there in years. It was fun!
Here's a pic of Brady Sledding

This pic was taken a few weeks ago, but it'll give you an idea of what southerners think of as a lot of snow. This snow closed school for 4 days!! But, if you live here, as opposed to Indiana, you know that there are a lot of hills and "hollers" that are unsafe for school busses after an inch of snow.
What's up with us?
Hey Ya'll! My friend Shannon thought I should get a blog, because SHE got a blog. All the cool kids are doing it, and I succomb easily to peer pressure, so here I go!
What's going on with Jeff? Not much. Just working hard and studying to get his CDL so he can make the big bucks. His neice Renee is going to make him a great uncle! She is due March 1st!!
Brady? He's in 4th grade and learning about Lewis and Clark in Social Studies. Science and Social Studies are his favorite subjects. He went sledding today and yesterday! Can you believe we had enough snow here to sled and even build a snowman? It was a good snowman too! Usually when a snowman is built in this part of Tennessee it has some dirt and leaves mixed in because there's not enough snow, but not this one!
So, there ya' go.
